Team MO-KAN

Team MO-KAN is a community of organ, eye and tissue transplant recipients, living donors, donor families, supporters, transplant professionals and those awaiting transplantation across the states of Kansas and Missouri. Our members are active in their local communities, helping to promote the cause of organ, eye and tissue donation through educational awareness events.

Since 1990 and the advent of the transplant games our members have participated in the bi-annual transplant games to showcase the success of organ, eye and tissue donation through friendly athletic competition. The games were first held under the auspices of the National Kidney Foundation until 2010. Beginning in 2012 the games were reorganized becoming what is known today as the Donate Life Transplant Games of America.

Our purpose is to increase the educational awareness of the life-saving importance of organ, corneal and tissue donation through the lives of our donor families, living donors and organ and tissue recipients and those who continue to wait for the gift of donation in the states of Kansas and Missouri. Our secondary purpose is to raise funds to help our members off-set the cost of participating in the Donate Life Transplant Games of America.

Team MO-KAN is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit registered with the State of Missouri. Your charitable donation is considered tax-deductible.

Our Mission

To raise awareness of the life-saving importance of organ, corneal and tissue donation through the lives of our donor families, living donors, and organ, eye and tissue recipients and those awaiting transplantation in the states of Kansas and Missouri. To increase the number of individuals registering to be organ, eye and tissue donors in Kansas and Missouri by participating in local and regional awareness events promoting organ, eye and tissue donation.
